Switzerland can help protect primeval forests
Swiss communes (local authorities) are helping to stop the clearance of the last surviving primeval forests. In their public buildings and for other structures they are using sustainably-produced timber and are employing increasing volumes of recycled paper in their administrations. This idea is continuously gaining support thanks to the campaign "ancient forest friendly communities".

The rainforest photographic archive
Whenever Bruno Manser travelled through the rainforest, he always had his camera with him. During his stays with the Penan, he took more than ten thousand photographs. This pictorial treasure is now to be made available to the public.

Diaries from the rainforest
Bruno Manser’s skills extended to narration and drawing. During his time in the Sarawak rainforest, he produced records in text and image of everything he experienced, observed and learned. Four years after his disappearance, his “diaries from the rainforest”, written in German, were published in 2004 in a remarkable volume.
